Every question now has a record of who owns it

Before a question can reach your child, we now check that we have the right to use it.

We only use questions we are allowed to use. Past school exam papers and assessment books belong to other people. Now the app checks this for us.

Every question is linked to a rights record. The record says where the question came from and who owns it. It also says what we may do with it, such as show it to children. All 300 or so questions we have today were written by our own team. They share one record that says we hold all the rights.

If we ever use material from a publisher or author, three things must happen first. Someone records the source and the licence. A curriculum lead checks and confirms it. And the licence must allow showing it to children. Until then, a question that uses it can't go live. If a licence has a review date, the question stops being usable once that date passes.

This protects the people who write learning materials, and it means what your child sees is something we are allowed to use.
