A safer way into our team tools
Our team now signs in to the tools behind Math Revision with Google, and only named accounts are let in.
Behind Math Revision sits a set of tools our team uses to write questions, check them and keep the service running. Those tools show how practice is going across the service. So we are strict about who gets in.
What changed
Our team can now sign in to these tools with a Google account. Only accounts on a short named list are let in. Anyone else who tries is turned away, and we keep a record of the attempt.
Google also checks that the email address is real and belongs to the person signing in. That gives us more protection than a shared password on its own.
What it means for you
Nothing changes in how you or your child sign in. Parents can still use Google or an email and password. Children still use their own sign-in. This change only affects how our own team gets in.
